| Yellowing |
The development of a yellow colour on ageing; most noticeable in dried films of white inks or clear varnishes. A printed defect that occurs when ink dries prematurely in the printing areas of the etching. The formation of a powdery coating on the surface of an ink film, caused by disintegration of the binding medium, due to disruptive factors during weathering. The thickness, either real or apparent, of a dry ink or varnish film. |
