HOW THE COURSES WORKS

The courses can be accessed from any computer connected to the Internet as no data is held on your hard drive.

The learner is allocated a Tutor who is available to assist via email.

The courses are made up of lessons that are broken down into sections. This means the learner can spend as much or as little time as they have available. The learner can return to the lesson as many times as they wish.

There are tests at the end of each lesson to ensure the learner has absorbed and understood the lesson content. The learner has to answer all the test questions correctly and has up to 10 attempts on each test. If they still cannot obtain 100% mark they will be directed to their course tutor. The learner is given immediate feedback on the results of the interim tests. The idea of these tests is to reinforce learning.

On completion of all the lessons there is a Final Examination. During this examination the learner is locked out of the course content. A pass mark of 85% or higher must be achieved.

A score of 95% or higher will be classed as a distinction. On successful completion of the examination the learner will be sent a certificate signed by the General Secretary of FESPA and the SPA Association Director.

We have a range of courses available.

Some are aimed at those just entering the printing industry who need to know what facilities and equipment they need and where to source it.

Other courses are aimed at the skilled printer who needs to understand at a higher level what is happening on the press and the factors that affect the performance of the process.

We are continually developing new courses so please visit the website regularly or email us if you have a specific requirement.

The approximate learner hours required to complete the courses are 20 – 30 hours.
