Jet Drying
The process of drying a wet print by passing it through a jet-air dryer.
Jet-air Dryer
An ink drying system , usually conveyorised that dries ink by blowing high velocity air across the ink surface.
JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group)
Standardised image compression format developed by the Joint Photographic Experts Group. Usually used for compressing full-colour or grey-scale images.
Jumping
The loss of colour to colour relationship in the printed image due to inaccurate printing in one or more colours. (poor registration)
Just-Noticeable Difference
In the CIELAB colour model, a difference in hue, chroma, or intensity, or some combination of all three, that is apparent to a trained observer under ideal lighting conditions.
