UK lifts duties on Chinese rebar wire
The UK Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has issued a recommendation to remove the anti-dumping duty on rebar wire and wire rope from China, which was introduced in the European Union in 2015.

As noted by UK experts who investigated imports of Chinese products in 2019, the UK does not have its own production of rebar wire rope. Local companies producing rebar wire have not made claims in support of maintaining the restrictions.
An anti-dumping duty of up to 46% will be abolished from 30 January 2021. A duty on Russian welded pipes was recently abolished along similar lines.
Following the exit from the European Union in early 2021, the British authorities are reviewing and revising trade measures that were imposed in the EU and continued to be in force in the UK.
